ALBEE BARTON
Albee is the director and founder of Green Monday Studios, (formerly Mangala Studios), and has been dancing in these rooms since she was four years old. Movement has long been her way of listening, regulating and making sense of the world.
Through her work with Conscious Practice, she weaves yoga, somatics, meditation, creative movement and philosophy into classes that are grounded, imaginative and attuned to lived experience. Her teaching honours the traditional roots of yoga while remaining engaged with questions of cultural lineage and responsibility.
AOIFE KAVANAGH
Aoife teaches with community at heart holding space with the belief that when we show up for ourselves and tend to our inner world, we expand our capacity to show up for each other.
Hailing from Ireland, she has been teaching yoga in Naarm for over a decade. Drawn to the deep, the devotional and the philosophical she found her way to the ancient practice of yoga as a path of inquiry and connection.
Her classes are strong and steady, grounded in asana and gently threaded with breath, meditation and subtle body awareness. At Restival, expect to feel supported, challenged and deeply met.
JODI PULLAR
Sharing the joy of somatic and embodied movement is a lifelong passion for Jodi. With over 20 years of experience across dance, Pilates, and somatic practices, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to every session.
Jodi fosters a supportive environment where participants are encouraged to move in their own way, at their own pace. Her embodied, holistic approach, combined with a trauma-aware, care-driven methodology, ensures her workshops are welcoming and accessible to all.
KEVIN TE
Kevin is a lifelong learner, qigong practitioner, meditator, and martial artist. He is a Lay Shaolin Arts Practitioner, with Shaolin being a Zen/Chan Buddhist school focused on cultivating the whole person through its six pillars: Meditation, Martial Arts, Qigong, Buddhist Teachings, Daoist Philosophy, and Confucian Ethics.
At Restival he will be delivering an introductory Qigong workshop and a led class, focusing on simple exercises and Baduanjin (The Eight Brocades). Baduanjin is one of the most classical and widely practiced forms of Qigong. In this workshop, participants will learn to move with slow, mindful awareness, allowing the body to release tension, improve circulation, and develop a deeper connection between movement, breath, and attention.
STEPH KITINGAN
With her teaching now spanning over a decade, Steph's offering is a multi-faceted practice, weaving meditation, qi gong, breathwork and yoga.
Steph’s journey of self-inquiry has evolved over the years to include the practice of Tai Chi and Shadow Yoga, alongside her training in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Meditation, and Applied Somatics. Her teaching style and language take cues from the waking world, with all its inputs numerous and ever-changing. There is a fluid mental note-taking that occurs, absorbing spatial characteristics, moments of function, sensory experiences and aesthetic delights. Her classes draw upon principles of alignment and synergy with breath, layered with the flowing cues similarly found in Tai Chi - allowing the student a deeper understanding of the connection between energy and movement.
